The officer was very polite and friendly. She asked a few questions and wanted to see some documents. She went for photocopies, joked with Josh, saw our pictures while talking with us about Spanish learning and said that everything looked pretty well... but... that since she was just starting in the job, she did not have the authority to approve us, but that she would certainly recommend our approval to her superiors. I asked her if she wanted to keep the certified copy of our marriage certificate and she said she did not need it. She removed the I-94 from my passport but let me keep the EAD until I receive the GC. 20 minutes maximum. A week later, we received a RFE requesting OUR MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE!!!  Why didn't she take it when I offered it to her?? The letter says that they can't complete our process since that document is missing, can anyone believe that?? We were in MN until the 19th, so only then is when we found out about the RFE. I sent the stuff immediately (to the local office, at least it was not to be sent to Chicago or Missouri) but we haven't got any reply and no one I know has heard of a RFE a-f-t-e-r the interview.
