Sydney US consulate was amazing!
They respond to emails VERY quickly! So if your a stress-head like me- dont worry- they are great at answering all questions.
First off...It took FOREVER to get my NOA2! but as soon as it arrived in Australia things went so quick!
I had my packet 3 ready to send off (i had my medical done as soon as my NOA2 was approved!) and included in my packet 3- I wrote a letter asking for the nearest available interview time as I will be a god-mother very soon over in the states!
Within 3 days of sending my Packet 3 they sent my packet 4! with an interview date only 1 week away!
They stressed me out at first by sending the wrong checklist saying I hadnt done a few things-which I knew I had done...but then after a quick email- they sent me a 'revised' checklist.
Interview was EASY-PEEZY!...I drove in (I live in sydney) parked in the convention center car park (much cheaper!) and took a taxi to the MLC center ($10)
I got there 20mins before my interview but they let me go in straight away!...The interview process took maybe 20 mins - just went through all of my information to make sure they didnt need anything...
Then went to another lady who I assume was supposed to ask all the questions- however I asked her more questions hehehe....
she was very friendly and only re-confirmed everything I had written in my 129-F. I didnt need to show photos - evidence of support etc!
I gave them my self addressed express post bag...and they confirmed when I needed it by- I received my actual visa 2 days later
