Hany arrived at the US Embassy in Cairo at 11:10am, his appointment was scheduled for 12:00. Security ask for his appointment letter and his receipt from CIB.He was also ask for 1 - 5 x 5 size photo, Hany did'nt have this so security told him where to go get it.He went there and paid 25LE for 6 photo's. Hany returned to the embassy and security took his appointment date letter signed it and he was given a number, then he was ask to remove his belt, keys, cell phone and whatever else was in his pockets. Hany then sat down and his number was called after 17 minutes. He was called to window #12 to an egyptian lady about 25 years old. She informed Hany that if he was approved he would have to enter the USA before October 4,2011. She asked Hany a few questions, What is your name? Where do you work? What do you do in your work? What is the name of the company you work for? What is your position there ? When did you meet your fiancee? How long did she stay in Egypt? Does she have a Son ? Then she asked him as she looked at one of our pictures,Is this your Mom in this photo? (pointing to Hany's Mother). Then she ask him, Do you have your Birth Certificate? Military Record? She ask, Was your fiancee married before? He said yes,She said Do you have her divorce certificate? He gave it to her then she said, Did you pay CIB? He said I paid 790LE at CIB and sent a copy of the receipt in package 3,Then she ask for the original receipt. Then she told him to go pay the remaining $210 in window # 4 then wait for your number to be called again. But when he got to window #4 the man taking money was gone to lunch. Hany waited for another 15 minutes and his number was called again from window #7 it was a Japanese woman in a bad mood. Hany told her Hi and she didnt answer like she was sad or something then she told him put your finger here to take fingerprints and we will start the interview. Hany told her I haven't paid yet, She said okay we'll do the fingerprints then you can pay and I'll call you back for the interview. Hany said ok, and he hoped from god to not come to her window again. Still waiting at window #4 to pay, he heard his number called again but not at window #7, It wasn't the Japanese lady, It was window #15 a dark skinned lady this time. She told him lets begin and he told her the same, I haven't paid yet. She said you go pay. Hany told her I have been waiting to pay, she said you must pay before we can begin. Hany told her I'll pay and come to you again. She was nice to him and that's why he wanted to let her keep his paper so he could go to her again. Hany was waiting at window #4, When he heard his number called again from the dark skinned lady 2 more times, finally he paid at window #4 and went to her she started by saying Hey! He said Hey! She told him show me the receipt where you paid, He gave it to her and She began asking questions, When did you meet your fiancee? How long have you known her? When did she come to Egypt? What is your plan when you go to America? That was all, Then she stopped and talked with somone else, He couldn't hear the conversation of course,She then said to Hany Approved, He said huh? She told him again, He said you mean I'm Approved? She said Yes and you will get the visa after 3 weeks. She kept his passport. Hany said, Thanks so much and Have a good day! Hany left the US Embassy, his phone rang and it was the US Embassy calling, The Lady said. Mr. Hany she forget to tell you that you must sign a form and be sworn. Hany was finished after being there 50 minutes and left. ( They did keep his passport ) The CO said Hany would receive his visa/passport in about 3 weeks and he could pay DHL when it arrived. I have seen many in administative processing for several months and I'm sure this applies to Hany too. So we will be waiting to see how long it takes to receive it. UPDATE: There was no administrative processing for Hany the issue date on the visa is 7/05/11 and Hany received it by DHL on 7/09/11. A total of 10 days from the interview.
