Finally I can add a review for this consulate and thank God it will be a good one.

First I'd like to say thanks to everyone on VJ for all the helpful info and i am just trying to pay it back.

I arrived at the embassy at 7:00am and was fifth in line. I believe three of the four people in front of me were VJ members. The guards arrived at 7:30 and started filing us into the building. Security was a breeze, they were polite and we were sent to the room in the basement to wait. We waited about 20 minutes and were then sent into the elevator which was really crammed. There were a lot of people at the embassy that day for the immigrant visas.

Up inside the consular offices, a lady showed us the way to line up for our numbers and i got C5. My number was called and i went to window 10 where a man took my fingerprints, my passport, my passport photos and the filled out DS230. he asked to go back and i would be called up again. After about 10 minutes i was called up now to window 11 and the lady there took my original documents, the copies and went over the DS230 with me to make sure everything was right. I was then sent back into the waiting area and waited for the interview itself.

The blond lady at window 7 called my name and it was my turn, finally. At this point i had stopped being nervous and that was a great thing as it was a really easy process. She swore me in and asked me:
1. What year were you married?
2. How did you meet your husband?
3. Have you ever been to the US?
She typed down the info into the computer and then came the congrats and the welcome letter. javascript:emoticon('')

I was out of there by 9:15 am so pretty quick for not being first in line but everything was great. I have been to other US embassies and consulates and this one was by far the best experience.

Some tips,
1. As usual no stuff that will set off any alarms at security.
2. Dress nice, i dressed up and felt pretty and that added my confidence.
3. Be early or on time, really doesn't matter but morning is usually a good time to catch them when they are still fresh.
4. Bring the DS230 already filled out as this bumped me up one as one of the ladies before me had to fill it out.
5. Think positive and it will all work out.
