Never thought this day would arrive and here I am writing the review!

There is not much difference to the other reviews posted here:

I stayed at the 'La Tour Centreville' hotel around the corner of the consulate. I personally do not recommend it since it was not that clean and the air-conditioning and refrigerator made so much noice at night I had to unplag them.

I was at the consulate by 6,45 am (could not sleep that night) and I was the first in line. By 7,30am I would say there were about 15 in line and the doors opened. I followed all reviews stating to sit next to the elevator and then go to the back and left. I was the first in line for a number and got C1. Then 20 min passed approx before I was called to a booth 12 where they took my fingerprints. Sat back down and waited about 10 minutes and was called to booth 10 where I was asked all my originals (police/birth/marriage certificate, passport, visa and DS-230). The officer asked to go through the DS-230 together making sure the information was right (just address for greencard to be mailed to, names and dates of birth... not the rest) and in the meantime he was asking me questions pertaining to the relationship ('where you guys met', what was I doing in the US then, where did he live, what does he do and what do I do in Canada). I thought THIS was the interview too but it wasn't. Then I sat down again and was called to booth 9 in 5 minutes where the famous 'blond lady' was awaiting for my actual interview. She was utterly nice, did not ask to raise my hand and swear, asked only where we met (salsa dancing) where did he live and what I was doing in Canada. Only those 3 questions. She made some jokes about the salsa dancing . She then handed me a paper and said my visa would arrive in the mail. That was it!!

My only advice is: arrive on time, have your documents organized (I think they like to see that), I would also suggest to dress presentable and if possible as if you were going to work or to church (that is just my opinion), no bags/electronics/ or metal, and smile!

I was out by 9,30am.. This consulate is very efficient and everyone was very nice.
