My husband and I were in line at 5:30 AM and we were not the first, there were around 10 people ahead of us.....

once you walk in......you first get a green folder to organize your paperwork, mind you the letter I received from the NVC said that I did not need to take any documents, but nevertheless I did...thank god!... its basically the same documents already sent to the USCIS office and NVC.

Marriage certificate
Divorce certificates
Baptism certificate
Passport old and new
DAS police Certificate –updated within 30 days
Cetificado Migratorio-Sealed-(IT wasn’t even opened)
Medical Docs-Sealed
Affidavit of Support Application & Support (copy of the affidavit, work letter, Taxes for FY08, FY09 &FY10 + transcripts of all three years)
In Addition since I was previously married I also included my divorce certificate...

Once you organize the documents, you go back and show them to the lady that gave you the folder, she gives you the ok and you sit and wait forever…. We sat at 7AM and were called 5 minutes till 2PM, a long wait…..

You are first called to a window were you have a mini interview with a Colombian lady, very RUDE, told me to sit…… here is where you turn in the green folder, she looks at the paperwork, makes sure every document is inside, asks some questions, name, address, phone number, wife’s name, were we met, how long we were engaged for, so on and so forth, after 10 minutes, my husband sat down, and 10 minutes after that he was called for fingerprints, this took about a minute….. Then you wait forever again….

We were called about 4 hours later…. We both went up to the window, my husband picked up the phone, I didn’t know what was been asked, I could only hear my husband’s answers…..just few questions

-----How we met-(and he (officer) asked my husband to elaborate)
-----how long we dated for
-----who went to the wedding
-----if my family attended the wedding
-----where we got married (name of the place, city, venue, etc)
-----and he asked for pics….. I had my wedding album which it was too thick to go in the slide, but I did make copies of all pages of the album + I had additional wedding pics and pics of when we dated….he only looked thru 3 or 4 pages…. (I had about 50 pages front & back)

Finally, I heard my husband asking the officer, so, all I need to do is pay at DOMESA (at that moment i knew we were approved), and my husband told him thank you very much and have a wonderful day! and that was it!

I was not interview….. But I stood next to my husband the whole time!

This interview was 5 minutes long….. The officer was very nice, he smiled at us at all times, my husband said he never re-questioned his answers &, he was never rude, on the contrary very polite…..

Overall the process was horrible, except for the interview part…. Make sure you take all the documents copies or originals…… the more the merrier….. Make sure you take the affidavit of support and the 2010 takes, 3 families sitting next to me were denied because they did not have the affidavit of support on file and they did not take copies……. Make sure you take the police certificate, although the officer did not even look at ours, another person was denied because they did not know they needed to take it…. Best of LUCK to all..
