I arrived at the consulate just after 7am and there was a couple and another woman in front of me. At 7:30 the guard came and unlocked the doors. The first couple in line was not allowed in because he was carrying a computer bag. I was the second person in, and had to go through a metal detector like the airport and have my bag scanned. I was the first one downstairs, and I sat in the first chair next to the elevator. The room got full and a guard came down and paged the elevator and sent us up to the 19th floor. I was the first one off the elevator. We had to line up to get numbers, and I got C-1. Then we had to sit down under the the sign to immigrate to the USA. I sat for probably about 5-10 minutes before I was called up to window 9. The man was very nice and I had to give him my passport pictures, my original birth certificate (the long one), and our marriage certificate.
Since we did electronic processing, he wanted a DS-230 filled in, but I had one with me already filled in, so then he checked the information on it, and also wanted the AOS from my husband and our co-sponsor. He also wanted our proof of payment for the IV from online. He also took my finger prints.
Since I had been in the USA before on a B-1 visa, he also wanted to look at my old passport. Then after he had all that, he told me to go sit back down. Then he called me back because he had forgotten to take my current passport.

Then it was a lot of waiting! It felt like forever, but really it was probably about 30-45 minutes. Then I heard my name get called and I had to go to booth 7. The lady was very nice and was joking around with me, saying she her me practically running to the booth! haha

She had me sign my DS-230 and asked me a couple questions about when I was denied entry right after we got married, and then asked me where my husband was and I told her he was in MI. That was pretty much it! She also asked how we met. She took a couple of my finger prints again and then wrote some notes in the computer and then handed me the "Welcome to the United States" letter and handed back my original certificates.

I am still kind of in shock that it's all over! Now just to wait for DHL to send my passport back and then cross in and be with my husband!!! can't wait!
