Interview was pretty straight forward but we had one roadblock to overcome, she was considered an overstay as we did not file for her AOS and she had to go back to Thailand due to her mother becoming ill. We had to file for a waiver which was approved in a matter of a few weeks but due to many Thai holidays, it was almost a month before she could get back to the embassy to get her visa.
Our petition was expedited, due to USCIS screwing up big time so the embassy was pretty accommodating in getting my wife taken care of as quickly as possible. When she had her K-1 visa interview a few years ago, that was pretty smooth as well.
Overall, BKK embassy get's a thumbs up, rated 4 out of 5, in my eyes, 5 is perfect and nothing is perfect when dealing with USCIS/Embassies/Consulate.
