Olga had her interview on 5/13/2011. This is what I got from what she relayed to me but I will have her write her own review.
Her arrival and initial checkpoint procedures were unpleasant due to the Russian guards being somewhat unsociable. The wait was fairly short after she was seated in the waiting room. The Consular was very friendly and asked very few questions. She tried to make sure Olga was not lying about anything by using tricky wording in her questions. She did not even look at our supporting evidence at all. The Affidavit of Support IS REQUIRED at the Moscow embassy! She said all the Americans were very pleasant and friendly. That they even answered her questions without getting angry or impatient. Overall a good experience.
Pay close attention to the following at this embassy:
- Have an affidavit of support with financial documentation.
- DO NOT get caught up in a lie. listen carefully to questions.
