I can\'t believe the time has come where I actually get to write one of these. I just got back from my interview in Montreal and I want to write down everything before I crash and forget it all!

My interview was at 1:45 but I showed up at the doors at 7am. I was the third person in line. The doors opened at 7:30 and the man at the door asked for my Packet 4 letter and my passport. Once he went over that, I went inside and was met by security. I had to hand over my paperwork, my bag, and my sweater and walk through the metal detector. After that, was given all of my belongings back and told to go downstairs and wait by the elevator.

Got downstairs and was only person down there. We waited until 8am when the elevator opened and we lined up. We went to the other side of the elevator, they packed us in like sardines, and off we went to the 19th floor. Once up there, a woman greeted us and asked to see confirmation letters and passports before we were instructed to go to the cashier/receptionist. She also took my passport and confirmation letter and handed them back to me with my number, C3. Then it was off to wait.

I was the third person called up and here is where my \"trouble\" began. No real trouble, just a minor setback. I got called up to window 10 where I met an unfriendly man in glasses who asked for my confirmation letter, Packet 4 and passport. He asked \"Did you change your name?\" and I immediately started to panic because I thought something was wrong. I told him no, I didn\'t. He looked through his computer and told me \"Well, I see your name for May 17th, not today.\" I informed him that five days ago, I rescheduled and he said \"Oh, so you did it last minute, no wonder.\" I have no idea why that\'s \"last minute\", but whatever, I kept quiet. He then said my interview wasn\'t until the afternoon and wanted to know why I was there so early. I told him I was informed that the earlier I came, the better. He said that was wrong, he didn\'t have my file, and I needed to go wait in the waiting room until he found it.

I waited for an hour and a half before he called me back to get my fingerprints from me. This is the most I waited for the whole process, because once he\'d done my fingerprints, everything went very quickly.

I waited maybe ten minutes in the waiting room until a lovely woman called me up to another window and asked for my letter of intent, police certificate (copy), birth certificate (original), and I-134 with supporting documents. She gathered all the info, put it in my file, and asked me to take a seat and wait until I was called for my interview.

I waited another maybe ten minutes at the most until I was called to Booth 7. I walked in and there was a friendly woman (blonde hair) who was very awesome and laid back and put me at east. She said, \"So, you\'re getting married, congratulations!\" and asked me very, very few questions. I think I was asked what my fiance does, where he lives, whether either of us have kids, whether we have criminal records, or whether we\'ve been married before. I answered no to the last three and she said \"Fantastic, congratulations!\" She handed me a piece of paper to sign stating that I would indeed get married within 90 days of my arrival.

I couldn\'t believe that was it. I said \"Seriously? That\'s all you need from me?\" and she said \"Yep, everything\'s in order, I see you have registered for DHL and you\'ll have your Visa in a week!\" She gave me a welcome letter and some info on the K-1 Visa and sent me on my way.

Other than the somewhat rude man I dealt with at the very beginning, my experience was super pleasant. Everything ran smoothly, everyone was friendly, and the process was completely stress-free. I brought WAY more paperwork than I needed to but it made me feel comfortable knowing I had it if necessary. That\'s it, that\'s all. Can\'t believe this part of the process is over. Thanks everyone who\'s helped along the way.
