7:00 a.m. - doors to embassy opened
she comes out about ten minutes later because one of the other interviewees said that they had more fees to pay so we head to the bank to get some money to let her have in her pocket just in case
I decide to try going in and they let me in. About twenty five people or so in the main room for interviews also. I speak English and Khmer so I'm able to listen to everything.
After taking a number, she's asked to go to a window and is asked a few basic questions and then told to sit again. This was just the pre interview where the lady looked over all the paperwork and made sure everything was ready to go.
The interview took place around eleven o'clock.
They asked her about my address, company I worked for, how much I brought in monthly from work, what I like to do on my time off, how we communicated, who introduced us and that was it. She did it in English because I don't trust the translator plus I printed over 200 pages of yahoo chat logs so they knew she spoke English.
I was able to listen in on many interviews and my advice would be to be confident, bring lots of evidence and make sure you and your spouse know everything about each other. I watched a fella crumble because he was asked about his step children, their school's name, what they like to eat and how does he feel about her child. He didn't pass or fail. They wanted the wife to go there for a stokes interview. Same with a lady that didn't have her story straight.
