Amsterdam, Netherlands | Review on April 14, 2011: | Lve
Rating: | Review Topic: K1 Visa
I had a 1.30pm appointment. Security was fairly easy to get through since I had left all of my electronics in a locker at the Amsterdam train station.
There were 4 or 5 people in front of me in line for the first booth, which meant I had to wait a while, about 45mins.
My turn came up and the lady was very nice and asked me for all the paperwork and proof of payment, etc. After that I had to wait for the consular officer to call me to his booth. This also took a while, and I was becoming slightly nervous. The nervousness turned out to be unnecessary, because I was only asked two easy questions* about the relationship with my fiance. After answering these questions the consular officer let me know I will receive my passport with the visa in the mail next week. All in all a very smooth experience for me at the Amsterdam consulate!
(*Questions asked: 1. When did you get engaged. 2. Where did you two meet)
