Guangzhou, China | Review on April 2, 2011: | Azzudiin

Rating: | Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Having been denied before and really hating Guangzhou Consulate I have to say this time the experience was much better, not just because we passed, but because we got a Officer that did his job.
The process is now split between 2 days, Day 1 you turn in Documents and they will ask some questions when you turn in Documents.
Questions asked:
Do you speak English?
Do you know about your husbands previous marriages?
Are you a CCP member?
These questions really are huge in deciding on who interviews you, because someone who claims to speak English will get interviewed by an Officer who does not speak Chinese very well or at all, so answer honestly.
Day 2 the actual interview:
How did you meet?
When did your husband first come to China to see you?
How many times has he been to China?
Reveiwed our pictures, asked a few questions about people in the pictures
Are you CCP?
A couple questions case specific
Congratulations you passed.
Entire interview in English
Officer was patient, spoke slowly and clearly so wife understood all questions and answered all questions in English.
Officer was pleasant, and friendly and showed geniune interest in our case.
Few additional items, Wife carried in 1800 pages and Video chat records and emails, 200 pictures, and countless other items from my trips records, shared bank account records etc.
When she walked up to the window she put down all 20lbs on the ledge in full view of Officer, he asked what it was, she told him and even though he only looked at the pictures and not emails etc, I think it sealed the deal from the start.
