Interview was set for 11:00am for some reason I thought it was for 10:30am. Got to Memphis at 10:05am and I had to finish putting on my shit outside. I had out it in the trunk of the car since I couldnt use the hanger in the rear of the car. Well Shit was crushed but the show had to go on... so put on my tie & scarf with it and thew on my black leather jacket to off set seeing the shirt.
After hell - We went through the security area where they had more issues than the average TSA agent. We went to the RIGHT to room 102 and dropped off the appointment letter... it was 10:15am on the dot. As i dropped it off I decided to look into the "hole" there stood a lady who appeared to be looking though the box of letters. Seemed as though she grabbed mine and marked something on it.. maybe "received?" who knows.
After being there for 5 short minutes.. hmmm My name was called by an Lady...and I went towards the opened door where she was standing. The test begun... She said.. Please come in and turn to the right... Hmmm that was easy.. then she gave me another advanced notice to turn.... By that time of-course she know that I understood English and not just when my name was called. As We entered the room.. she proceeded with -
" Please remain Standing and you swore that every thing in your application and what we will cover will be true?"
My Reply - "Yes." ...
IO - You may have a seat. IO - "May I have your DL, Green Card, and Passport?"
My Reply - Yes.
IO - So today we will go over some questions for the interview and you are required to pass 6 of the questions...
19- We elect a U.S. Senator for how many years?
65- What happened at the Constitutional Convention?
63- When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?
35 -What does the President's Cabinet do?
53- What is one promise you make when you become a United States citizen?
31- If both the President and the Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
Got them All Right ... Hmmm Impressive heeeh..? She handed me a paper and proceeded to insult my intelligence...
IO - Please read the the sentence on the paper
My Reply - We Celebrate Columbus Day.
IO - Please write on the top line.. "Columbus is a day we celebrate"
My Reply - What the HEll? ( lol ok so it didnt go like that) I had no answer.
IO - So on your application . you were arrested when you were a minor.. what happened... ?
my reply - Well It was a misdemeanor and happened when I was a minor .. I have the disposition from the courts if you would like to see it.
IO - No it's ok.. have you ever failed to file a tax return.
my reply - yes i have and i have since filed about two years ago and I went to the IRS office on yesterday and I have the read out showing that i filed.
IO actions - looked over the documents and gave them back... do you have your Selective Service Card?
my reply - yes here it is.
~ The questions to follow were yes/no questions... and after which she said you are being recommended for citizenship and you live in Nashville so your Interview will he there... hope to hear from us in 4-6 weeks. ~
~The Interview was above 20 minutes i was asking her about some legal questions .. she was a very nice lady who was in-tuned with her professional side... ~
