My interview time was set at 9.30 am. Got there at 8.30, there were almost no people. Submitted the documents at the information window. Got the ticket with my number - I was the first in line for my type of visa. Then I paid the visa fee. Took a seat in front of the counter and I could see the officer go through my papers (there was a blue paper from my lawyer which I recognized). 10 min after he called me to the window. He was rather friendly, greeted me in Russian or Belarussian (don't remember that well) and the proceeded in English. I was asked to raise my hand and swear to tell the truth=) Then he asked me when I plan to leave for the US. Next question was "What did you study in China?" (I stayed there for about a year to study Chinese=) ) Then he asked me how I met my fiance. (We met in Physics class in High School while I was on an exchange program in the USA 6 years before... no where in the docs that i submitted this information was mentioned. However, the officer knew about the Physics class... the only source he could find that out from was my fiance's letter of intent, which we submitted to the USCIS together with I-129F). Then he said: "Everything is alright. You will be getting your visa tomorrow in the afternoon". So, the interview itself lasted 3 minutes. I was outta there by 9.05 am. However, they didn't take my passport right away. I had to return next day in the morning to turn in my passport (you have to go through security inside the consulate again), and then pick it up at 3 pm at the window right outside the Embassy! javascript:emoticon('')
