My interview was scheduled for February 28. This was our journey......
Two weeks before our interview, my husband and I went to do the medicals exam with Dr. Fernando Tome en Clinicas Medicas, Tegucigalpa. There are only 3 doctors in tegus that are allow to do these exams, so you just enter the Honduras Embassy Web and there you look for their addresses and phone numbers. Since I had my child vaccunes papers, I spend 5,000 lps in total including, xrays, blood exams, Aids exam, and the physical exam that the doctor personally do it. We stayed at the Hotel Plaza Libertador which is a comfy, nice hotel, 75$ a night. This hotel is 5 minutes in cab to the embassy. In Tegus, there are cheaper hotels near the embassy (like Granada Hotel), but due that my husband is paranoic with Tegus insecurity and been a disorder city, we stayed there.
Our interview was scheduled at 7:30 am. We arrive at 6:45 am. We were like the third ones in the line. Make sure, to ask the guard which is the residence line, because you may get confuse and stand by in the tourist visa line, but you know which is the residence line because it is the shortest..
My interview went pretty nice. I may say, that I always prayed God to have a nice Consular Office, and I did have a nice lady interviwing me.
First you get your ticket, then the guard assests you to sit down. Then you got to wait getting called. Since we did an expedite, our case didn't touched the NVC, so right there in the embassy in less than 10 minutes my visa application and AOS were checked and we paid the 404$. If you by any case do this, make sure
to have with you the exact amount of money because they don´t give change.
After like 20 minutes of waiting, we were called again to take my fingerprints and we had like a pre-interview. Simple questions like were we met, how many times my husband has visit me, date of our marriage and birth. These answers, the lady write them down and then she said ok now wait that you are going to be called for a second interview.
Another 30 minutes passes, and we were called. Thanks God my husband was allowed to enter with me. Sometimes they allow it, sometimes not. The first thing that the Consular Office said was that we have nice photos, and she showed us two photos and ask me to say where and with whom this photos where taken. I dont know that if this has something to do, but out of 60 photos, she picked the ones that had the date on it. Then she ask if I had sons, if my husband had sons, when we got marrige, how and where we met. Nothing difficult to be asked if you have a sincere and real relationship. Well, everthing went fine, BUT we didn´t have the correct birth certificates of both. The one "en foma literal". Make sure to submit this correct format, because there were several applicants with this mistake. "En forma literal" is the one that says who your grand parents were. It takes a month (at least here in SPS) to get it.
So we were given a paper that said that our visa was temporarly refuse due that we didn't have the correct birth certificate and that as soon as we submit the correct form, the visa will be approved.
So we got the documents one week later the interview, and personally mailed it to the Tegucigalpa embassy in the porton 3 mail. One week later, we were called that the visa was approved, that we just have to go to the embassy to give the passport. Next day we were on Tegus. On the morning we went to give them my passport (just that, no interview, no questions,no nothing) I mentioned this, because I was a bit scared to have another interview, but no Thanks God. They just gave me a ticket to go to the embassy the same day at 3:45 pm to pick up my passport with the visa.
So happy that everything has ended...! Keep the faith and patience in this long journey!!!!
