Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived at 1pm for a 1.20pm appointment. The security guards were very friendly and welcoming.
We were finally called in at 1.50pm by a very nice lady.
We did our oath and then she went over the information to check it was all correct. Apparently the G-325a said my husband was a British Citizen so she corrected this info and then proceeded to go through the questions on the I-485 all of which I had answered no too. (When we finally got back to the truck i checked my copied G-325a we had submitted and it definitely said my husband was a US citizen lol)
She actually asked about previous intent before I entered the USA and also questioned that we had married soon after I had entered and then asked if I had previously worked or voted in the USA.
Even though I had photographs and a file full of evidence all she wanted to see were the originals we had submitted for evidence of marriage such as bank statement and life insurance. Apart from that she was just chatting generally about my home town and life in the military and New Mexico. She had been to my home town and my new home town in New Mexico and her husband was ex-military so I guess we had a lot in common.
We were in there for around 10 minutes it went really well and at the end she said you are approved and will receive your green card in 3-6 weeks. She then explained the ROC process and even wrote down the name of the form for me
A very successful and pleasant experience overall even if it was an 8 hour round trip for us it was worth it all in the end
