Natasha arrived there at 7:20AM to find about 10 people in line ahead of her. The consulate personnel (Russian) took her paperwork and medical packet along with the fee and told her to wait in the waiting area.
The area was a common area and there were two consulate employees working there. A male and a female. Natasha was interviewed by the male. He asked the general questions that were expected about how the relationship began, how you have been communicating, etc. Wanted to see some pictures and E-mails. We were short on E-mails because we used the phone and skype so she presented him with phone records of our regular conversations.
Overall she states the interview was very pleasant as was the consular employee. She conducted the interview in English as she is very fluent and said that made it easier. That and a good knowledge of me and my family lead to a fairly quick approval.
Overall she says the experience was good and that the people there were polite. It pays to be a little early, though.
