Our case seemed to not need an interview, as it was transferred to the CA servicing center and everything had been going smoothly. But, for whatever reason, we were scheduled for an interview. The appointment was at 8:00 am. We were there 15 minutes early. I had left my driver's license at the hotel, so they would not let me in the building. My husband was allowed to go in, and I just had to watch through the window outside. I saw the interviewer call my husband and they went into the offices. I waited outside, very nervously pacing at the front doors, until the interviewre (a man) came to the door and told the security guard he needed to talk to me.
The interviewer was really VERY nice. He said he did need to ask me some questions, and if I minded doing it outside. Of course, I said we can discuss outside, because the only alternative was for them to reject our case. He asked some questions, which really only seemed to be verifying what my husband had already answered during his part of the interview. (where are you living now? have you travelled recently? how many kids do you have? etc.)
The interviewer went back into the offices, and I continued my pacing outside. After another 5 minutes, my husband was finished and came out with the letter stating his AOS was approved.
We are so happy and completely relieved to be done with this. No worries for the 10-year visa...
