First let me start with, I waited a long time for this day! And to those still waiting - it's all worth it and your time will sneak up on you.
I have friends in Montreal, so we were able to stay with them...savings on hotels and meals - yeah!
We had to pick up my medical results in the morning - I was there at 7 a.m. sharp and outta there in less then 5 min; then it was off to the consulate. (like 5 minutes away on St. Alexandre. We were lucky and found parking in the same block - so we were waiting outside with 4-5 others at 7;25 or so - it was cold and brisk wind - dress warm! We were let in by about 7;45; one at a time, through the front doors. I brought nothing with me but the binder with all our paperwork - much easier to get through security! We were told to go downstairs where we waiting about another 10 minutes for the guard to come and escort up to the elevator. He also gave us our letter 'd' - Once upstairs, again we waited about 15 minutes or so - we talked with another couple - helps to ease the jitters! We were then called to window 11 - where we started to hand over the paper work as he requested it. which was everything thats on the list to bring with you. He didn't ask for any additonal proof of relationship. I strongly suggest being organized; makes the process alot smoother and you will feel better about it...not stressing trying to find documents. I used a binder and plastic sheet protectors - where in each I had the original and the copies; so it made it a breeze. He asked a few questions as he was taking the papers -minor things, can't even remember now! He then instructed us to go pay, which we did. Then back to window 11, where he took the rec' and fingerprinted me. Then back to the waiting area for about 10 minutes- then called to office 8. The interview itself was over in like 5 minutes, no kidding! He was a really great guy - didn't seem as 'serious' as the rest! The first thing he did was swear us in. He asked how we met, and when we met in person. He also asked what I did for a living - and what Ken did. Also asked if we had seet a wedding date, to which we replied; "yes December 18th" He smiled. Asked if I had been to the US and if I ever had any problems getting across the border; which I never had any issues. He also asked what the mileage was from Ken's home in Maine to mine in Nb, which Ken told him - easy cause he's traveled it sooooo many times. He then said, Based on the information provided....I am happy to say, Welcome to the United States" It shocked me because I thought he was going to ask more questions! Done....after months and months of preparing! We were out of the consulate by 10 a.m.,
Thanks to everyone here, being prepared is the key, and in order to do that, one needs to read and read some more form the forums here!
P.o.e is expected Dec 1, 2010!

Good Luck everyone and a million thanks from Ken and myself for all of the assitance and support!
