Review Topic: IR-5 Visa

After hell and powda house we got to the embassy at 8:30 for our 8:30a appointment. I asked the lady if I would be allowed in.. she said no. Explained to her that I sent about 4 emails and got a response from the Embassy saying that I would be allowed in and no special document is needed. The lady called a certain guy in a Purple Shirt who wasnt dressed in the blue security officer/guard uniforms. Told him what I told the lady.. He asked me for my US Passport Told him I dont have it, I did have my Tennessee DL.. but he never looked at it. He then told me to come in..!

STEP #2

Got to the Security check point/screening area and I had to deal with those very rude Jamaican Butu people dem.. The women were too rude.. My mom had her UMBRELLA in her bag and the lady told her she got to go back out side.. my mom was about to put her belt back on.. the woman said .."Lady mi nuh have time fi yuh all dem tings deh." They were rushing us out the screening hall so we left and headed to the court. While Approaching you will sit on the RIGHT (Immigrants & Non Immigrants). There were only 5 people waiting .. we were called by the gurad to come on inside.. Hmmm Mom was still missing and father was getting restless.. I headed outside to look for my mother.. because she was gone for line 10-15 min. On the way back I explined to the head guard that the people inside were rude. My Mom had to go back through the securty screening .. when she got to the court where my dad was sitting there was the second call for all the applicants seated outside to come on in. There were about 20 people infront of us.. I was pissed...!!

STEP #3 900am

While inside you will then show your Interview Letter, Passport, And 2 Photos. The guy who did the document check is KEVIN... He's Real Cool.. MY Dad's Friend.. Kevin has been working there for 4 hears but not in that position.. Excellent Guy..! Persons who are seeking to visit the US on a Tourist Visa or Other will go back outside where they WILL wait patiently to be called back in side seems to be 10 at a time.. 90-100. All the Immigrants were told to go inside and turn RIGHT...! We were given a # as A154/5 Kevin too was in a Purple Shit and tie. BE RELAXED and talk to him if you want.. He's VERY HELPFUL, FRIENDLY. You will also be given a YELLOW DHL SLIP for the US EMbassy Courier Pass Program and your passport # would be written (one per household) to save money. IT will not be told however Kevin told My MOm/Dad/I to write their Names/Address/Phone # on the back.

STEP #4 Drama..!

When we got inside there were No seats... and the line was backed up to the DOOR. The windows that are being used were 5-9, Window # 10 was labled CASHIR so expect to pay for the difference of the visa fee US $4.00 or JA $350.00.. The guy in the purple shirt (Kevin) told us not to take anyone's seat if they go to Windows 5 or 6. However if they should go to Window 7, 8, 9 they will not return and we could take their seats they have made it to America - "Foreign" he said.

At 935am we were still waiting to be called....Kevin Returned he gave the group two rules

Rule #1
- Do Not purchase any airline tickets or make travel plans etc. Until you have received your passport from DHL which takes about 2 weeks

RULE #2
- "Tell No One your Business not even yuh best fren but call them while you at the airport.. dem caah mess wid yuh den or ask yuh fi bring anythin"

*** Windows 5 & 6 were the document reviews... the TWO Ladies there were fantastic... you will have a good experience there....! 7, 8, 9 are the interviews... PLEASE dont pick up the phone unless instructed... FOLLOW instructions... I saw way too many dumb people.. be patient and lighten up when Kevin speaks to you... tell him I say wassup***

*** The review is at a 4... because of the Security officers at the fornt part... they are not relaxed at all...
