hi, i woke up 4 o'clock AM on the faithful 26th of October, prayed, clean up and got dressed and i left home by 5.30 AM. (mind you i was driven in my own car and not taxi that is why i can afford to leave that late). i got to the consulate by 6.20AM and i joined other people that were around. at 7 AM exactly, people for immigrant visa were called and i was lucky to be iv 1. we started the routine, filed in, pay our money and entered the main building. i was called forward by a Nigerian lady who took my documents from me and told me to sit down and wait to be called for my interview.
after some time an American guy called my number and my interview started. he asked me so many question in a very short time but i was able to answer them all.some of which are
who petitioned for you?
how did you meet? explain
where does he work?
where does he live?
what is his phone number?
how did he travel?
which university he attended?
when did he travel?
where do you work?
does he have parents?
how will you perform the nigerian aspect of wedding if you marry in us?
etc
he ask for the evidence of relationship which i gave him (western unions, mails, phone records, pictures)
after looking at them all, he ask some few more questions and ask me if i will pick up the visa by myself which i said yes to , he stood up picked a paper, attached a slip to it and gave it to me with my name on it to pick my visa on 2nd of November.
my advice to those going to lagos consulate i to be well prepared, fill all necessary forms, know your petitioner truly and if possible just go with your documents and leave your phone and other stuffs not needed at home cos you will not be allowed to take them in and it may cause distraction and anxiety for you if you have to start looking all over the place for where to drop those things.i wish you ball the best. thank God am approved
