Me and my wife came to the Embassy in Stockholm ten minutes to nine on the 14th of October. After security check, we stepped into the waiting room where a bunch of people were already waiting. Then I went to the Immigration window where a woman asked me for my papers; Military records, police records, photos and the Affidavit of Support. Then I went to the cash register and payed the fee of 404 USD. After that, we waited for about 15 minutes until my name was called on the speaker system.
I was directed to a window where another woman asked me to put my fingers on a scanner for fingerprints. I thought this was some kind of pre-interview for the real one as she started asking questions: \"How did you meet your wife?\", \"What are you going to do in the US?\", \"What is she going to do?\", \"Where are you going to live?\". I then realized that this was the actual interview. See, I had been planning on this interview for weeks by gathering documents, photos, reciepts, letters and all kinds of stuff to prove that our marriage was bonafide. I was preparing for a heavy interrogation, CSI style. And the interview was over in 5 minutes!
Since the results of my medical exam hadn\'t arrived yet, I didn\'t get my visa that day. It came with the mail a week and a half later. So here we are now - 13 days away from leaving. I\'m so excited!
