My husband and I arrived at the consulate around 7:15 and there were already 4 groups of people (including VJer Philandjulie) in line. The security guard let us in at 7:30, we passed the security inspection and were assigned the letter E (We learned about it later when we were being called- we barely saw the tag when the security guard showed it to us earlier and had no idea what letter it was). We waited about 30 minutes (or more) to be called to window 11. A very nice blond lady took the documents and asked us to sit at the chairs in front of the windows (instead of going back to the general waiting area). We waited for about 10 minutes and she took my finger prints. Then we went back to the general waiting area, waited for about 15 to 20 minutes, before we were called to room 7 for the interview. Our officer was another very nice blond lady. She had us take the oath, checked the documents, and asked the following questions (all in a very relaxed tone):
- When did you get married?
- Where were you born?
- What year did you become a naturalized Canadian?
- When did you move to Canada?
- Where do you live now?
- Where did you go to school in the US?
- What type of visa did you have?
- What do you do?
- Where will you be living at when you move to the US?

She also asked my husband:
- What do you do?
- Which school did you go to?
- How to spell the name of the school?
- What instrument to you play?
- When did you start dating?

As she was asking, she put down these information in the computer. Then she congratulated us and told us our case is approved. She asked me if I signed up for DHL pickup, gave me the "Welcome to the United States of America" letter and a sheet containing phone numbers of different DHL locations. She said it would take about a week for the passport to be ready for pick-up. We thanked her and left the room.

We left the consulate at around 9:45 and went to Le Place Milton for a hearty breakfast. I kept hearing my husband's stomach groaning during the interview... :P
