G had his medical exam 2 weeks before the interview, right after the official Embassy panel physicians changed. The physician told him that they'd forward his paperwork to the Embassy in 2 or 3 days.
He had his interview at the Kathmandu Embassy on September 16, 2010. The package that I sent him with the originals of all of our evidence didn't arrive in time, so he only had photocopies of everything at the interview, but they didn't even ask to look at what he'd brought. The interview was very short and they only asked him a couple of really basic questions ("How did you meet?" "Where is she now?" etc). They then told him that his medical paperwork for some reason wasn't in his file, and they'd either misplaced it internally or it hadn't arrived yet. They didn't tell him whether he was approved or denied; they just said everything would "probably be fine" and they'd call him back when they found his medical paperwork.
G called them once a week or so after the interview. 3 weeks later, they finally told him to come back to get his visa stamped. Success!
