The interview at the consulate was a tough, long process. They really grilled her asking details about the marriage ceremony (where it took place, how many people attended, etc), my workplace, my family and siblings, whether she was going to work/study in the US, how we met. Her interview lasted from 8am to 1pm, and several people asked her questions. This was also the first time she had so much interaction with people with American accents (it's the consulate, so it's all Americans). On top of that she saw quite a few people leave crying, presumably because they were rejected. They don't allow cellphones, so there's no way she could contact me or anyone else while inside.
Anyway, she passed the interview, so that was a huge relief. But please don't underestimate the interview - it's not just a simple "Do you have all your documents? Ok, your visa's approved".
