Thank you to all VJers who have helped us on our journey. I arrived at the embassy early (at 7.50 for a 9am appointment) and dropped my phone and car key at Goulds who were excellent. After going through the security checks, I entered the embassy at 8.15am. I was given an I number but all the numbers being called were N - do not get disheartened, your turn does arrive. I noted that I numbers were being called to two windows for initial interviews and two different windows for later interviews. There were only 9 people ahead of me and I was called about 1.5 hours after arriving. The first lady asked for my passport, birth certificate & copy, police certificate & copy, two passport photos (Uk size), my divorce certificate & copy plus I134 completed by my fiancee. With the I134 she asked for 2009 tax return & letter from current employer. I then paid the fee (which I was told should now be paid online prior to interview - new change this week, I should have received an email?), returned receipot to first window and was told to sit down and await my number being called again. The second window was a friendly man who returned my original documents, asked how I met Joe, when we got engaged and when I planned to go to the States. He said I was approved and to go and pay the courier and enjoy my new life. I had a few problems with the fingerprints (nerves I guess) but both people were friendly enough. All completed in two hours. All good and relieved we are through this stage. Just be yourself and you will be fine. Good Luck.
