I was very accomodated by the Embassy and was pleased with their high level of service. Upon arrival I told the guard at the gate I was there for an appointment instead of waiting in the long line that congregates under the awning to the left. Do not wait in the line. After about 5 minutes they told me to go into the security area where I was screened and directed to head inside. The lady who dealt with my case from the beginning was ready for me and I was instructed to go to her window where I gave her all of my paperwork. My fiance was not with me so I had to provide proof that we were still together (emails, plane tickets etc.).

I paid my fee and was told to come back to be interviewed at 1:30pm. Upon arrival for my interview I noticed they were dealing with another situation so I had to wait for awhile, however, I was promptly apologized to by my interviewer when I was called to his window. He asked me where would I be living, How did we meet, How long have we dated, What did my fiance do for work, What did I do for work, What are my plans once I arrive in the U.S. That was about it. I was told to come back in 2 days for my passport which I did and it already had my visa in it.

A month and a half later I went to catch my flight to the U.S. In my hand was the huge package I was told to bring to U.S. immigration. Once I got to the booth of my U.S. officer I handed him the package and he brought me to a secure area. I waited while they checked my package for about 20 minutes. Then another officer came in and asked me if i would inform the government of my marriage once it takes place and if I knew I had to be married within 90 days. I said yes to both and was on my way.

My advice, give WAY MORE information than you think is necessary. The more proof you have, the better. Also, organize your documents so they are easy for process, label things, paper clip items together etc. Lastly, show up to the airport 3 hours in advance and never be rude.
