Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our process was very quick and easy here is the time line...

march 2010- filed first paperwork with lawyer
april, may 2010- got confirmation of CIS office receiving our paperwork
june, july 2010- husband did biometrics, medical exam and got approval of work authorization
august 2010- got interview date
september 23, 2010- had interview and got approved said his green card will be received in 2-4 weeks!

Now I leaned on this site for support while me and my husband was going through this process...and I will say it was very stressful and nerve wrecking!
But my husband was a 3 year over stay on his b-2 visa and had no social security number meaning we had NO joint account, issurance, ect.. we did have photos, lease together, wedding cards, mail with both names, i was so nervous the day of but as soon as i met our CIS interviewer all of that went out the window, he was so awesome and down to earth, friendly, he joked, laughed, very patient and made it like a casual conversation, he asked things like explain first meeting, how the engagment happened, how is our replationship with each others friends and family, when we plan on having kids, and ect, we showed evidence and in like o about 20 minutes it was over and approved. AS LONG AS YOU ARE IN LOVE AND IT IS A REAL MARRIAGE you have nothing to worry about! It is so worth it, I love my husband very much and happy the whole process is over with no more worries. Good luck to all!
