Hello All,

Our interview was on Aug. 9th 2010. We arrived around 6:30Am, we where 3rd in line. The doors opened around 7:30AM. Once they let us in, it was like an airport security check; all items in the tray, and step threw the metal detector. They checked us for passport and P4 and assigned us all a designation letter, and we were allowed to pass on to the next room downstairs and seated next to the elevator. We only waited a few minutes before the elevator opened and another security guard checked our designation letters and allowed a certain number of us to proceed upstairs. Once upstairs we were asked to sit on the right side of the room and wait for our names to be called. Once we were called over the speaker, we were asked to come to a certain window.

What they asked us for:
-passport with copy of bio page
-long form birth certificate plus copy
-police clearance
-sealed medical envelope
-I-134 and supporting documents(I had everything paper clipped together and labeled starting with: Letter of intent, Letter from employer, Bank Letter, I-134 form, Last years tax transcripts, Last years taxes with W2, Insurance through work for this year plus all his pay stubs from this year and the last 5 months from 2009. I gave them copies for everything, except the letters and the I-134. I told them I had the originals for everything, but they did not want to see them).
-2 Passport photos
-Xpresspost envelope

We where told to go pay our $350.00 fee and wait to be called back to the window to give them our receipt and get my finger prints done. After that we waited to be called to the window again for the 3rd time to verify our I-160 online form, to make sure all information was correct. The forth time they called us was for the interview in room 8. The consular officer was very friendly and made you feel very comfortable and at ease.

This is what they asked us:
-Where we were currently living?
-When we met?
-How we met?
-What we do for work?
-Last time I was in the U.S and how often we saw each other?
-Any problems crossing the border?
-When the wedding date is?
Amazingly enough that was all he really asked us before congratulating us and informing us that we were approved!!

As a reminder it is important that you have all of your information ready and in order, and you do not bring a backpack, just a simple shopping bag or cloth tote with no zippers or fasteners to carry your documents (zipper binders are allowed) everything will be fine!
