Tamer got there early (he attended the interview alone). He was the first one to enter the embassy there for CR1. He took so much extra paperwork with him, they searched his bag more. Once in the embassy he was 3rd number, he was 503. He took a seat and was afraid to get up because someone else would get his seat. He went to first window with egyptian woman, quiet and gentle, asked where you meet your wife and how long have you been married? Did you marry before or has your wife been married before, then asked for original divorce papers. She also looked at his military papers and commented he looked older in military than now. Then asked to go pay dhl and gave another paper about me and him. He went to sit back down till they called his number again. DHl was 75 LE. He made sure it could be sent to his sisters address since he was staying there with her in Cairo.

After 20 min they called his number again for fingerprints (american woman). Very nice and it was easy. He went to sit back down and he felt more at ease. He waited a little over an hour to be called to last window with consulate. They called him by name this time, not a number, the way they said his name made all laugh in the waiting area.

The last window, he meet younger man (very friendly and smiled alot). He started to ask questions and look back and forth to the computer. When he asked Tamer the first question, Tamer felt like his tongue was stuck and wouldnt move, but after first question answered, he felt more at ease.
1. How did we meet?
2. Where did we meet?
3. When we married?
4. How many kids do I (wife) have? and ages?
Tamer told him he had much more evidence and was eager to show him this proof and pictures. After Tamer got his attention, he showed him some photos and the man kept smiling saying good. They didnt ask him for any additional evidence although Tamer had so much (my fault). The man laughed and said all is ok. After he gave Tamer back all original documents and then he asked for them back and scared Tamer. He gave back and kept one paper, then he asked for the paper Tamer kept. The interviewer looked through them again fast, then he handed them back to Tamer. He looked at Tamer and smiled and said now Mr. Tamer I will approve your file and say congratulations. Tamer was like in shock...lol. So he asked him again what should I tell my wife. He kept smiling and said tell your wife Mabrouk and say get ready for your husband. Tamer just kept looking at him and said what can I do now...the guy said go go...bye. You are done. We will send your visa in 7 to 10 days, then said sorry maybe 2 weeks.

We got the visa in 5 days. Tamer got here on Aug 3. We are so happy and he is adjusting well. We are having so much fun and loving every min. The advice we have for all. Be honest and try to relax. The embassy was full of very polite and gentle people. Tamer's experience there was great. We are very pleased with the time and experience, it was worth the wait. Have patience and remember they are just doing their job.
