My husband was called first by a Moroccan man. He asked him a few basic questions and took his fingerprints. He was nice, but cordial.
Then he was called to speak to both the Moroccan man and the blond lady. He had applied for a visitors visa back when we first met. (I told him it was a waste of time, but you know our men!) They denied him of course. They said why did he really apply? He had family and he wanted to see them, not really to see me, etc. They gave him a really hard time. I thought the fact he attempted to come here to see me in America was a good sign. Silly me.
Well, he stayed calm and after they couldn't shake him, he said it was like a light switch went off. She got all nice and polite. The Moroccan man left and it was just him and the lady. She looked at our pictures and asked questions. How did we meet. Where did we meet. How long he knew me, when we were married and here is a good one....the day of the week we got married on. Heck, I couldn't have answered that beyond the date. I don't remember the day. My dear sweet husband DID remember the day of the week! She flipped a calendar and seemed impressed with that. Um, so was I!!! She looked at every single one of our photos and asked about people in them. We had 2 books full. She kept our emails and proofs we sent, but gave back the photos. She didn't tell him anything. The guy at the window told him he got the visa and they would call him in a few days. He didn't know what to think. He got out and called me and was a wreck after the fact. We honestly didn't believe anything until we had visa in hand.
