Arrived at the embassy at 7:45...two other people where already ahead of us. Went in at 8, got a number and waited to be called. Was called after a few others because my husband only brought his Korean debit card (even though I said bring cash just in case). Anyway, he was called for the interview, it was a few minutes longer than most people than they called me up to ask a few questions. Which I thought was strange at first because they interviewed me earlier in the process. But they were concerned about my travel and worried that I may not return to the US. So we were told that I needed to get a letter stating that I had a job in the US or would be attending college. I also needed the w-2 from my joint sponsor. The sad news is that we were told that AP was required and they are not sure how long it would take. javascript:emoticon('') But overall the interview was pretty simple, the guy who interviewed us has even lived in Tehran and knew some Farsi. He was very nice and funny. The questions where pretty straightforward...where did you meet? Have you spoken to his family? Who are his parents? where do they live? his siblings? where do they live?
After the interview they told us they will give us a call to let us know when to bring in his passport and they kept everything (including our pictures). I'm hoping AP will be a quick process. javascript:emoticon('')
