Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiancee had a typical experience at the consulate in Casablanca. He arrived, waited in lines, watched other people interview, etc. The time came for his interview and he was asked a series of questions that were very detailed in nature. He was asked about everything from the amount of child support that I receive each month, to where my ex lives and what jobs my siblings hold. The woman kept a very straight face and didn't give him any clues as to whether or not he had been approved or denied. She simply handed him his things, kept his passport, and said they would call him.

3 weeks later he received a phone call to come pick up his visa, and a few weeks after that I was greeting him at the airport.

My fiancee speaks very good English, he answered all questions as honestly as he could. He brought with him evidence including photos and chat logs. The interviewer only looked at some of the chat logs. He told her that he was unemployed at the moment. The only unusual circumstances included a vaccine shortage, and he did not have all his shots at the time of the interview.
