Her interview was on June 22nd at 1300. She had to go to the Embassy at 0800 to drop off her paperwork. Since she had an afternoon appointment she was allowed through the door right away and did not have to wait in the long line. The lady took her paperwork and she left the embassy to return later that afternoon.
She returned at 12.30 at was allowed in right away. She waited in the waiting room until her name was called. She was called to window number 5 around 13.55 to be interviewed by the American Lady. She had to swear to tell the truth and rose both hands because she did not know which one to raise. The lady laughed and she was told to raise her right hand and swore she would tell the truth. The lady said Sawasdee Ka and asked if she wanted the interview in Thai or English. She said English and they began asking the following questions.
1. How do you know your Fiance?
2. How do you know the person that introduced you to him?
3. When is his birthday?
4. Does he have children?
5. How old is my child?
6. How does he support his child?
7. Is his ex girlfriend (child\'s mother) a Thai or American Citizen
8. Do you know his ex girlfriend?
9. Has he been married before, and when is the year of divorce?
10. When did you get engaged?
11. How old is your fiance
12. Where was your fiance born
13. Did he pick out the engagement ring, or did you help him?
14. She was asked to show her ring?
15. Where does she work and what do you do now?
16. How much time did you spend with him during his second meeting with you in Thailand?
17. When did you start dating?
18. When did you meet him again for the third time in Manilla?
At the end of the interview she asked to see her ring and asked if your fiance pick it out himself or did you help him? She said that he chose the ring, and she said ok it is is very beautiful. She then said so see you again on June 29. My fiancee\' asked if that means her Visa is approved? She smiled and said yes. My fiancee\' smiled and said thank you very much (gave a wai for those who know Thai). My fiancee\' was then given a 3 X5 card that has the case number and her name with instructions to pick her VISA on 29 June at 1500.
The lady conducting the interview was very polite and seemed happy to talk to her. She did not act to serious. My fiancee\'s advice is to not be afraid and to answer the questions very directly. Although my fiancee was asked 18 questions the interview was still short took about 5 minutes.
