What a efficient and friendly office!

Interview time was at 1pm. We arrived about 25 mins before 1 and the security guards asked us very nicely to wait until 12:45pm. There is a nice courtyard next to the entrance that we sat and waited. And Craig tried his best to keep my mind off my nervousness

At 12:45pm we went through the security check and up to the visa floor.
There were only 2 Family Visas to be processes at 1pm, and I was called up to Window B after I barely sat down.

The consular official (I canot for the life of me remember his name) was super nice and was impressed that everything was so organized and (he said) in the correct order. He went through the process and told us we could grab coffee if we wanted as it would be about an hour before fingerprints.

I was so thankful, he said he saw that everything was in order and it was unlikely that we wouldn't have our visa in hand on Monday (Interviewed on Thursday June 3rd). He asked about travel plans, and we advised we were leaving out of Seattle on Tuesday. He said he might be able to get the visa to us on Friday!

After abou 45mins, I was called up for fingerprinting.

And finally after about 30 more minutes we went to talk to another consular official at window 6. Thomas was super nice! He was joking around with us and telling us about his own family. He asked me to repeat how we met (I got the impression he was looking at the declaration we had written) and asked if we were scared when we first met in person. He mentioned that it was excellent that Craig could be at the interview. Especially since I had used sticky notes for labelling everything and had an extra one for Craig. I stuck it on his forehead 'Proof of Relationship'. We all got a good laugh out of it.

He asked me what I did for a living and what I intended to do after getting my EAD.

Then he told us we were approved! YA!!!

He went through the restrictions of the Visa etc. and then let us know we could pick it up on Monday! WHOOO! Thank you Vancouver US Consulate!
