I got on the road by 4:45am from Sherbrooke.. Got in the Montreal area by 6am, a little bit of traffic already but i wasn't stuck in there for too long. By 6:20am, i find the consulate... But now i had to find a parking.. So i circle 2-3 times around the basements, ask some people where i can park (maybe i was too stressed for the interview i couldn't read the signs well!). I finally find a parking for 16$/day. So i get in there... but there was no ticket to get, no security guard, and even if i wanted to get out of there i couldn't exit because the security guard has to open the door!!! So for 15 minutes i get angry and stressed, and i decide to leave my car in the parking and leave the building. I get to the Lobby of the building, find a guard there, and ask him about the parking.. and everything was ok he told me i can just pay when i come back after the interview So i start running and try to find St-Alexandre street (as my orientation is not the best!)... I finally get there, i was 3rd in line (6:45-6:50).

A lot of people got there later. And it was raining, but i had my umbrella so it was ok! At 7:30, doors open. We go one by one for the security check-up, and don't bring any backpack, big purse, a guy had to quit because he had a backpack. I brought everything in a big plastic bag and that was ok. I got letter "C". Then they tell you everywhere you have to go, it's pretty simple, and since you already have your letter, you don't have to worry about anything anymore.

At 8am, i was sitting in the waiting area. The first couple got called to a window.. Then the "B" guy too... I was called around 9am to window 11. I didn't put anything in order like on the list they give you when u get in the consulate, but i definitly knew where everything was so it was very easy to give the women everything she wanted. so i gave her:

- Passport + Copy
- BC + Copy + Certified translation (not notarized)
- Police check
- 2 passport pictures
- USC letter of intent
- Express post Enveloppe (yes, you need the BIGGEST one, 12X15, and make sure u have the right one!!!)
- Affidavit of support
- I gave her EVERYTHING i had for evidence of support (letter from the bank, prints of bank deposits, letter from employer, 2009 W2, 2009 IRS transcripts)
- I made a "travel supplement" with all the trips i made to the USA in the last few years

I think it's all.. Then i go to pay the 131$US to Window 14A (yes, stand on the left side of the line, they'll pass you before everybody!) Then back to window 9, fingerprints... And I go back to sit in the waiting room.

By the time the "A" couple entered in the interview room, i was in there within 10 minutes. This is a very fast part! So i got called to room 7 at 9:45am. My heart was beating sooo fast at that time! A women with long hair, very friendly, administred the oath, and then asked me a couple questions. Very easy, When did we meet, how often i visited him, where my fiancé works, etc.. And when i said we met at the Worlds Championships of Foosball in Vegas, she thought it was very funny and laughed. So it made me more confident at that point!

By 10am, i was in my car. This interview process was definitly very easy. I was wayyy too stressed for nothing. So my advice, is that you guys get well-prepared, make sure you have everything in order, tell the truth, and everything will be ok!!

I'm very happy i was approved, and i know Tyler and May was approved today as well, so relax, and just be ready, that's all you need!
