I had an early appointment so I got to the embassy before it was open and was the first person there. So everything went fast for me, probably because I was first in line.
I found everything went well and was quite organised.
I did have one problem though. I was asked for proof of my fiancee's father's passport or birth certificate to prove his citizenship (he signed the affidavit of support) After looking through everything and asking on here it turns out I was never told anywhere to bring it so I guess this was some sort of mistake made by them. Anyway I was given the form (I forget the name of it now) for additional information. I was told to have my fiancee's father fax it to them which he did and about 1-2 weeks later I got my visa delivered to me.
So my advice would be to have proof of citizenship (copy of birth certificate or passport page) of whoever is doing the affidavit for you, even if you're not "require" to have it, could save a week or two of extra waiting that I had.
Other than that everything was good, no complaints. I was there for 2 hours tops.
