Had interview scheduled at 9, got there 8:30. We had a seat and was called in at 9:30 by an officer. She was polite, but strict.
She had a file on us as thick as a dictionary, and it was about to get thicker.
She asked a few questions:
Petitioner:
If I was US Citizen
Have I ever filed a petition before
Any children
Beneficiary:
Ever been to the US before?
ever been married before?
asked if she was being treated good.
She looked at our birth papers, I have a birth certificate from Trinidad, wife had school papers from India since she did not have a birth cert. She questioned my citizenship since I did not have a naturalization cert - but I mentioned my parents were both naturalized and I was issued a US passport. She looked up information on my parents, scrutinized it and she said she'll let it go but told me that I really should get a certificate issued.
She looked over all the papers we brought - I had bank records, CC photocopied, took a lot of it and kept it in her file. She went out of the room a few times and came back in, then she approved us and stamped my wife's passport with the temp card.
