Interview was scheduled Feb. 28 at 10 am, I suggest all applicants from Dubai to leave as early as posible as the current traffic situation in Abu Dhabi is worst compared to Dubai. First you need to wait outside the Bldg., there will be a separate qeue for Immigrant and Non Immigrant, K1 is considered Immigrant. The security is quite strict and I went through 3 security check up but that is not a problem. Once you are inside go to the cashier area directly to get your number and wait till you get called by the consul.
When its my turn the nice Arabic consul took the following documents as per his check list:
1. DS Forms (156, 156k,157, 230)
2. Original Birth Certificate
3. I 134 (Notarized)
4. My fiance\\\' 3 yrs.Tax Documents, W2s, Bank Statement and Salary Certificates.
5. 2 pp Pictures (Please attached the pictures to your DS 156 before hand)
6. Original Passport
7. 4 copies of Pictures of me and my fiance together with date and location.
8. Medical Report
The 2nd lady consul called me and ask me to take an oath and asked me several questions such as, how, when, where did i meet my fiance, where he lives, his job designation, his company name, if we\\\'re both single and never been married, how long were dating and when was the last time i\\\'ve seen him, after answering propmtly and briefly she let me sign the DS forms and took my finger prints, after that she took a small blue paper (its like a business card) and sign & gave it to me and ask me to come back after a week to get my passport and visa. To be sure I asked her if my petition is approved and she said \\\"Yes! Welcome to the US!\\\"
It was quite a long wait to be called for your turn but once you are called and give them the required documents and answer the interview promptly you are good to go. It took me only 2 minutes to get that precious little blue card!
