Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our AOS interview was super easy. The security guys were very nice and laid back. And although we waited for an hour to be called in, our interview was only 10 minutes total. Our IO was very nice and professional, he hardly asked for any documents, and didn't ask for any supporting evidence of marriage that we brought. Very relieving experience!
This is my post on the day after the interview:
" Approved!!! We got there at 920, and our appointment was at 935. We had to wait till 1025 (about an hour) to be called in. Our officer's name was Moran, and he was professional and asked questions quickly smiling a bit to some of the responses. First he asked us for our ID's and my I-94,he looked at them. Then he asked me if I was still going to school, and I showed him my I-20. Asked me who is paying for my school. I said my relatives who sponsored me, but startng from next semseter it's just me and my parents. Asked me where my parents were, I sad my dad and step mother-in Russia, and my mother-in Germany. Asked me if I SPOKE GERMAN?LOL THEN he swore us in. Started with questions to me:
-What is your name?
-What is your DOB
- SSN
-Address
-Date of the wedding
-Said my phone number from the applcation and asked if it was working
- Asked for the original birth certificate (in Russian), I asked him if he wanted to look at certified copy and he said it's ok( although he didn't know Russian!
-Asked for the original Marriage Certificate
- asked us if we have been married before or any kids
-Asked me if I've been charged of a crime or was under immigration detaination or smth like that
- Asked me where how I met my husband
-Asked me what my family thought about our marriage and if they were present, we said no
-Asked who were our wedding witnesses, we said our best friends Wyatt and Adisa
- asked me if I had family here, I said just distant, not immidiate. asked if I had any siblings, I said my halfbrother in Russia
- While looking at my state ID, Asked ne if I drove I said no, explained him I am scared of driving
- Asked if Matt's mom knows we are married, said yes, we live with her and mentioned that we brought an affidavit from her but he didnt ask for it
- Asked me if we were both going to school
The only 2 questons he asked my husband were:
- Your mother's name is Cynthia? (while going through our original application I-864A form)
and -Do you work?
He skimmed through our original appication SOO quickly circling and crossing out things, and then started writing something on some yellow form, and I knew it wasnt from our application so it had to be something else which i suspected was could be connected with an approval, but I couldnt believe it because he didn't ask us for any supporting documents...
Then he went on the computer and typed something, and printed us the APPROVAL Notice and gave it to us explaining regural rules (about travelling, when the card should arrive, about conditional status, and how to apply for a permanent status). He asked : any questions? I asked hm: Don't you need to take my I-94? And he said know, he didn't need it, which thought was weird.
SO, HE DID NOT ASK US FOR ANY MARRIAGE EVIDENCE AT ALL and did not take any copies of anything.
Although we were upset that we prepared so much, and made copies of every possible thing and he didnt ask for any of it, we are SO relieved now and finaly can take a nap!!!..."
