Interview was VERY TYPICAL compared to the other positive reviews that the manila embassy received. Of course there were long wait times and lots of different people. However, sitting next to people that were in the same boat as me (k1 visa applicants) helped pass the time. The consul was a caucasian male who was very polite and asked me questions about my job, justin, my son, what we did for a living, and general questions about our relationship. After the interview he said we were done and that all we needed was a co-sponsor and to return anytime M-thurs before 1pm! As many people have said, normally the USEM does NOT accept co-sponsors for k1 visas. BUUUT, in our particular case, HE DID ALLOW US!! This proves that on a case by case basis, although very rare, the USEM does allow cosponsors. Unfortunately, i do NOT know the qualifying criteria since our case didn't seem any more different than any other cases we've talked to people about. So upon returning with our cosponsor's paperwork, the clerk accepted and reviewed our documents and said I could just pay for my air21 shipping fee and the visa would be delivered within 3-5 days! Its been such a relief and i am overall very satisfied with the service i received at the USEM! Good luck and God bless to all who are still on their visa journey!
