The US embassy in Freetown just recently stared processing K1 visas. When our package reached Freetown it took about a week to get them on the phone so my fiance could pick up his first package. They are very unhelpful on the phone, must have called at least 50 times between the two of us always "Hold on" "Consular is at lunch" etc etc etc
After receiving the package and completing medical and getting documents together took about another 2 weeks to receive an interview date...same problem getting people on the phone and hard time getting a response to emails.
The actual interview went very smoothly from what my fiance said. They asked him basic questions, and were very understanding of the fact we had no actual pictures together due to the theft of my camera before I left. He was told he would hear from them in one week....two weeks passed and they called him but not to pick up his visa but to sign some forms they forgot to ask him to sign at the interview.... about three days later they called him to pick up his visa....
Seeing as how they just started processing visas here I cant complain too much I just wish it was easier to get in contact with them
