I am writing this review to give my experiences with the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou, China. My wife and I requested the electronic filig system and it was quick and easy. The only problems I encountered was waiting for Guangzhou to send me the packets when in fact after paying the fees and printing a receipt you also received instructions for the next step.
She received her interview date and time for the 19th of January 2010 at 0730. We arrived at 0700 and found a couple hundred or so other people waiting. The lined everybody up by their appointment time. I though this would be smooth but it was not as they intergrated others with the approved appointments. My wife did not get upstairs until 0900. Than after turning in the requested paperwork and getting finger printed it was not till 1130 she was called to window 22. She told me that it was ayoung man with a big smile on his face and that put her at ease. He asked her three questions; when and where did we meet, how many times I had visited and when did we get married. He looked at some pictures and read my letter of evolution and than told her she spoke good english which helped her ego and told her that she was approved
So, the pluses was electronic filing, and the positive attitude of her interviewer. The negatives was the long wait
