Interview was in early 2004 during husband's asylum only proceddings. We were called in for an interview about one year after filing of the I-130.
It was a fairly invasive interview. I went in first while my husband stayed in the lobby with our newborn son. I was asked very personal questions and the officer(male) wrote down all of my answers. When it was my husband's turn(I stayed in the lobby with our son), he was asked the same questions as me but the officer went down the list checking his answers against mine.
Other than being terribly invasive, they were polite. We did not receive any verbal approval or idea of how long it would take. In fact, it took another 1.5 years before our I-130 approval was received.
