We were scheduled to have the interview at 2pm. We arrived at the building at about 1:30 (we parked in a lot near by and walked over) and the security guard had everyone waiting in a line outside and was letting people go through security in waves. It was unclear as to how strictly the phone ban is enforced, since some of the people in front of us were called out to put their phone in their car, we simply turned ours off and when the guard ask to see them, he waved us through. The weird part was there were folks talking on the phone and texting in the waiting room. Security took about 10 minutes, then we got to the waiting room, the room was about 1/3 filled.

We waited for about 1.5 hours, basically, by the time it was our turn, there was no one left. The guard started chatting to us and apologized for the wait, he said some people for the 11 o'clock interviews came late and pushed everyone back. I asked him if there were no more interviews after us he said the 3 o'clock people didn't show up.

The officer introduced himself, was soft-spoken and probably in his late thirties. He swore us in and apologized for the delay, he hardly had any questions for us except for the yes/no questions. The first part of the interview was actually spent with him telling us about conditional residency. Then he confirmed my birthplace, then asked to see a couple of papers showing the co-mingling of assets. The slip he gave us said 'adjudicative review' and our lawyer said it was because there were a lot of new officers hired in July 2007, and it takes 18 months for them to finish the training so we might've been interviewed by one of the newly qualified officers. He told us if he had any questions, he would call before noon the following day and if he doesn't call, just assume everything was fine.

We said thank you and he again apologized for the delay and sent us on our way.

By the way, our lawyer didn't actually attend the interview with us.
