Background: I am doing AOS from M1 Visa to Green Card.
Interview:
I arrived at the USCIS office 25 minutes prior to the interview time. Again, just like the Biometrics appointment, going through security was a pleasant experience given the friendliness of the security officer.
We were called in five minutes early for our AOS interview by the Interviewing Officer (IO). As my wife and I entered the IO's office, we remained standing and took an oath. I was asked to surrender all documents that were issued to me by USCIS. Such as EAD, AP, and I-94. I also handed over my Social Sec. Card, Driver's Licence and Passport for Identification.
The interview officer seemed neutral, not friendly nor aggressive. The questions began with the IO asking my wife (US Citizen) biographic questions and compared it to the responses on the G-325A. The questions are comprehensive such as what is our residential address and how long have we lived there, what are the parent's full-name, etc. The interview went smoothly.
My wife and I brought a lot of evidence material that would prove a bona fide relationship between my wife and I. However, the IO officer deemed what was submitted in the AOS packet satisfactory.
The interview lasted approx. 20 minutes. The IO advised me that my AOS application will be recommended for APPROVAL and began explaining the Removal of Conditions procedure. Very professional and friendly USCIS office.
