I arrived at the embassy at 8 p.m, handed the guy at the gate my interview letter, he signed it and gave it back to me. I entered the embassy and showed an Egyptian lady my interview letter, the folders I had, and my purse. She said: "Wow, that's too much proof" and asked me to open my purse and she went through its content while another lady scanned me with a body scanner.. She then asked me to switch off my cellphone and give to her along with my USB flash memory, she gave me a card with a number and asked me to enter... I went in where the interview took place.. A guy asked me for my interview letter again, he looked at it fast and gave me two little papers with a number and asked me to have a seat and wait... There were many people waiting and many did not have seats!
I waited till my number was called the first time... I went to a window, there was that Egyptian veiled lady.. She asked me for my original birth certificate and my passport.. I gave her both the Arabic and the English birth certificates and she clipped my passport to our file (I got to see our approved I-129F lol).. She then asked me a few questions like:
- How did you meet your fiance?
- When did you meet your fiance?
- How long have you been together?
- How many times did he visit and when?
- Did you have an engagement party? and why not?
- Have you ever went to the US?
- Have you ever been to a foreign country for more than 6 months after the age of 16?
- Is my fiance planning on coming to Egypt again?
- Have you filled the forms you sent under my name yourself, or did your fiance help you?
- Are you sure you filled them out yourself...?
She then asked me if we have any pictures together and I showed her the photo album I made... She went through a few pages of it, and said asked me to go to the DHL desk and pay the visa shipment fee and wait again and gave me the photo album back and glanced the other folder and said: "Wow, that's too much proof" LOL tongue.gif
Then I waited for another while.. My number was called again and I went to the window where finger prints are taken.. My hands were sweaty so I had to wipe them (I guess I was anxious lol).. My finger prints were taken and I had a seat again...
I waited for over an hour and then my number was called for the last time...and that was the interview...
The interviewer was an American lady in her late 20's to mid 30's.. She greeted me with a smile and asked "how are you".. She said: "Ok, that's your file and John's... I'm going to ask you a few questions..."

She then told my that she needs a certified copy of John's divorce decree and a bank statement.. I told her does she need to look at any of our proof or pictures.. She said: "No, it's ok.. I believe he is your fiance and you two have a true relationship."
I asked her what should I tell my fiance about the outcome of the interview... She said: "everything is fine, we just need these two documents and we will issue the visa right after 'if everything is correct'".. I asked her when should I expect my visa after my fiance sends her the documents, she smiled and said very soon.. She kept my passport and asked me to go the next window where an Egyptian lady gave me a white paper and checked the boxes on it for the things they needed, and asked me to DHL that paper to my fiance ASAP... I tried sending the paper via DHL at the embassy, but they said I needed to go to any other DHL branch...
Once I got out I called John and told him how the interview went... We both think it went well in regard to our situation smile.gif I think both interviewers were nice and the whole experience was comfortable... The whole time at the embassy was 4 and half hours...
