I prayed so much for my scheduled interview and called my fiance 1st before i went out from the hotel at exactly 5:30am going to the us embassy but actually my appointment interview is 7:00am but you must be there early than the assigned time since so many will be there too for same purpose.when i got there i saw a line of people where the guard ask for any identification,letter of appointment and the letter that's been sent from the embassy that has your case number(stamped by the st.lukes medical center).
Reminder:you must ask the guard 1st before you will stand and follow the line because the lines depend on what kind of visa do you need.
as for me i followed for the fiance...so when it's my turn i showed my id,appointment letter and the letter from the embassy to the guard then he lets me get inside and sit there in the waiting area.then somebody called at us just 5 persons allowed to get inside the embassy but undergo for the x-ray machine 1st to check your bags/documents and a lady guard to check you.after that you only have to follow the red arrows that really made me crazy.i followed the red arrows for fiance visa but then it will go straight to the exit so i had to turn around and look if there's any other way and even the persons next to me were also trying to think about the arrows that made them stop to look for any ways too.so thankful...the guard called at us and showed us the way to get inside the visa room where all kinds of visa are being process.
STEPS INSIDE THE VISA PROCESSING ROOM:
1) i entered that room then fell in line and asked my fullname and birthdate and then the ds forms(ds-156 two compies,ds-157 stamped by BDO two copies and one copy of ds-156k) then two photos then i got my number 7004.
2) i was sitting on that blue chair waiting for my number will appear in red at the right top part of the windows.(window 15-window 25)filipinos will interview the applicants and ask for any documents that they needed.so when my number appeared with the assigned window i stand up and went directly to window 20.
here are some of the questions that the filipino man interviewed me:
a.he asked 1st whats my fullname and birthdate then the nbi,birth certificate and the cenomar
b." " how did i met my fiance?i said we 1st met through the internet in a dating site called cherryblossoms then met him in person in hong kong.
c.he asked me the I-134(affidavit of support,his latest tax record)
d." " the latest emails,pictures that were together
Reminder:that depends to the interviewer if he/she will ask from you a letters,cards,chat records or phone bills.
e.then the last part he asked me about my fiances monthly support(western union,bank record)
3) i went back to my chair and waited until my number appeared in red for an american interview.
4) i stand up and went ahead to window 27.i saw an american woman there at the age of around 50's and she said"good morning,ms. deo?"i said good morning too mam,yes i am erma deo and told me to sit.
NOTE:this is just about how that american treated me and keeps on smiling at me to every question that she asked until i finished the interview.
here are some of the questions that american interviewed me:
a.she asked me 1st my fullname as the beneficiary and my birthdate and who is my petitioner?i said my fiance's fullname.
b.how old is he?and me?i said he is 39 and im 31
c.what is your fiance's work/job?i said he is preparing taxes.
d.she said oh you finished a degree of ?i answered her civil engineering.wow!that's nice.
e.she said,your passport stamped here like you went to hong kong.i said yes i went to hong kong to met my fiance there.she said oh that's great!
e.and you have a ring,right?can i see it?i showed it to her she said wowwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!like a kid,huh.full of smile!
then after writing the documents,signing it too...she said,il approved this today and the next step that you're gonna do is to go for finger scanning 1st then releasing area before you will pay for the air21 mail.i said thank you so much mam,really really thank you.she said yw.
4) i fell in line for my finger scanning then the black man asked my fullname and birthdate.just make sure your fingers are all dry so you can easily get done to that black american who will showed his faces after looking at the machine and your fingers not clear there,huh.
5) i went ahead to that releasing area and sit to that red chair until my number appeared in red at the top of that window then i stand up to get it but before they will release that someone asked me when is my birthday and my fullname.then they will give you the appointment letter stamped by the pink slip and your number.
6) then paid for the visa mail by air21 and wait for the receipt.
NOTE:you noticed there,they all asked my fullname and birthdate...hehehehe!!!anyway,good luck to all!
