I got to there at 6:00 am in the morning and found a queue at the Embassy gates.We were let in at 6:30am. Passed through the security checks and into the building . At about 8:30 am i was called on one of the windows and presented my documents. The lady was mean and she just told me off right away that i was wasting her time I should have bundled everything together . My documents were neatly arranged and i thought she was going to ask for them one by one.Only to be suprised She gathered all the forms Ds-156, Ds 165K, Ds 230 part I and II , Ds -157, Affidavit of support, proof of ongoing relationship, Birth certificate, Tax forms and any other documents of proof! phew, Was done with her and she just told me to sit and wait to be called for the interview.
I was called to counter 10 an hour later, and believe me i found the meanest of them all. She was not pleasant at all and told me to take place my right hand and repeat after her. She asked me several questions . when did i meet my fiance? which state he is ? WHat are our wedding plans so far? What job does he do?when was i engaged? where was the engagement? How many times have we met ? When was the last time he was here? What is my cellphone numbers? How many times does he call me in a day ? No smiles No break . She went forward and looked at the pictures of us together asking questions about them . I had captioned the pics so it was easy to just explain.
She took a blue slip and my heart and told me to pick my passport on the 24 February, I asked if i could pick it earlier but she gave me the passport back and told me to come for the visa when im ready. I just told her that i was kindly asking for the favour since I need it for work. Thats when she asked how much tiome i would give the embassy , i told them i was on leave for a week and she told me to pick it up next week! I thank God i passed
